New quayside crane for Autoport

Located in Yeniköy Municipality in Kocaeli, Autoport meets significant needs in the region for project shipments using its new 80-ton Gottwald crane.

Autoport’s goal is to provide superb service for project shipments because of its advantageous geographical location, its fleet of equipment and its employees who are experts in port operations. The arrival of an 80-ton Gottwald crane at Autoport has doubled the number of cranes, thus expanding the port’s operations.

In January, DB Schenker Arkas organized the shipping procedures for 122 ton tanks that convert waste gases into steam energy. These tanks were shipped from Autoport and sent to Al Jubail in Saudi Arabia.

Volvo gives three more awards to Arkas Automotive and Volcar

After attending a meeting organized by Volvo Car Turkey in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Arkas Automotive and Volcar returned with three awards for being among the best authorized sellers and service departments in 2011. Arkas Automotive’s Etiler Branch was rated Turkey’s 2nd Best Authorized Volvo Seller, Arkas Automotive’s Ankara Branch was Turkey’s 3rd Best Authorized Volvo Seller, and Volcar Altunizade was Turkey’s 2nd Best Authorized Service. The awards were presented by Volvo Car Turkey General Manager Torben Eckardt.
