The celebrated Austrian band formed 'Original Tiroler Kaiserjaeger' was in Istanbul

The celebrated Austrian band formed in 1511 as the 'Tiroler Landmiliz' and known since 1971 as the 'Original Tiroler Kaiserjaeger' was in Istanbul thanks to the sponsorship of Schenker Arkas. The organisation of these special concerts, which took place on 9th-10th May, was undertaken by the Austrian Consulate.

The first event, which was recorded by the state broadcaster TRT and included a short recital by the prominent Turkish pianist Fazıl Say, took place at the Is Bankası Concert Hall. The second was an inter-continental affair, which began with a concert on board ship on the Bosphorus between Asia and Europe and then continued in the gardens of the Ciragan Kempinski Hotel. This spectacular series of events ended with a concert at the Austrian Consulate.
