Confident of the rapidly developing Egyptian economy, Arkas founded Arkas Egypt in the beginning of 2007 with the goal of accelerating trade between the two countries. Arkas Egypt will be an agent for Arkas Line , which is an Arkas company providing liner service The newly-opened office in Alexandria offers import and export transportation service from all over Egypt to regions serviced by Arkas Line .

Arkas Egypt creates solutions with direct Arkas Line routes to the ports of:
• Istanbul, Izmir and Mersin in Turkey
• Pireaus and Thessaloniki in Greece
• Tunis in Tunisia
• Valencia, Barcelona and Castellon in Spain.
The company also offers container transportation with Arkas Line from Egypt to the ports of Algiers, Constanta, Odessa, llyichevsk, Novorossiysk and Varna via transfer in Istanbul. As a result, the company is helping Egypt improve its trade relations with Mediterranean countries as well as those on the Black Sea.
